New Years 2008/2009

What a great 2008 and a fantastic way to close the year!!!! For New Years Eve, we didn't know what we wanted to do....we were going to go with friends, but no one was really doing much. My mom called me and told us to go up to Wolf Mountain and snowboard! They had a party up there and there was going to be fireworks, and fire pit, food and music, so we thought for a minute and said why not, something different!!! We changed, loaded the car up with our gear and headed up the mountain. Snowboarding was so fun, there was hardly anyone up there but just enough to have fun. As it was getting closer to midnight we went up with the Ski Patrol, and other skiers, and prepared for the Torch Run. Right was midnight hit, they turned off all the ski run lights and we lit our flares and off we went down the mountain, as we got half way down the mountain fireworks went off and everyone at the bottom was cheering!!! It was so much fun!! We had a great time ringing in the new year!!! I hope 2009 brings us more activities, like this. Happy New Years everyone!!

We had a very MERRY CHRISTMAS

Christmas time is always busy time, either way I look at it!! Shopping, Parties, Eating ect!! We had a blast during Christmas break and look forward to many more Christmas's together!! The Saturday before Christmas is when it all started, we had my mom's side of the family, family party and had a great time exchanging white elephants. Sunday we had the tradition Jerusalem Dinner at Miller's. We all dressed up, and had salmon, breads, and fruits and veggies, we spend the evening telling our favorite stories of Christ and the kids act out the Nativity Story. Tuesday the 23rd is the annual Campbell family Christmas party, we eat and eat, act out the nativity, sing, and do talents, the Campbells/Millers had by far the best talent and then Santa and Mrs Claus come and give us each a present, we have been doind the same thing on the Campbell side since I can remember and love this tradition. Christmas Eve we were back to the Millers for another party, with amazing yummy food prepared by Jana. Her sister and her 3 kids came and we played a fun dice game, and did another white elephant exchange, it's great going over there to see the excitement of the little kids and also the older ones too! Ha!! That night we went to my parents and had a sleep over. We got woken up by Ryan calling from his Mission, he was wondering why we weren't awake yet...oh yeah we're 2 hours behind him!! We talked to him for an hour, and then opened Christmas presents!! Santa was very nice to us this year and brought us lot of fun new things! I got a garbage can, yes I know it sounds lame but we needed one so bad!! I was tired of the garbage just hanging in our kitchen. So I got that, clothes, another iPod, yes my 3rd iPod, I promise not to burn it up, and or loose it! Nick got a new fly rod and lots of gear for fishing, oh yes we got a QUEEN size sleep bag!! Anyways, we had a very good Christmas and wish you all had the same!!! Happy New Years and be safe!!

Festival Of Trees

Last weekend I had the chance to take my mother in law, Jana to the Festival of Trees to volunteer for 3 hours, plus look at all the trees!! It was so much fun, I've been going down the festival for years and love going each time to volunteer. I usually go with my mom and aunts and cousin's but with everyone's busy schedule's we kindof split up this year. So Saturday Jana and I went and helped. We were in the the Sweets Ect. Shoppe....so all morning I was looking at all these yummy treats and sweets!! It was hard to hold back and not buy anything but I did get a carmel covered apple...DELICIOUS!!!! We walked through all the trees after, and all the wreaths, let's just say my feet were sore!!! Here are some of our favorite trees!

Thanksgiving and soon to be Christmas!

For Thanksgiving this year, Nick and I went to Grandma and Grandpa Campbell's house. It was so fun and so filling!!! We had a ton of food. Every time we go to their house they cook for like 50 and there is only 20 of us!! We had fun hanging out and being together as a family. I think everyone was there except for my brother that's on a mission. We ate, did crafts, ate more, played games and ate more!! Nick started a beanie but hasn't finished yet, and I took a nap! We love playing games on the Campbell side so we did that until Nick and I had to leave to go to a movie with his family. So we met them at the Layton Movie Theater and saw Australia. Good thing I took a nap the movie was 2 hours and 45 minutes!!! But it was really good, I even shed a tear towards the end! After the movie we went home and went to bed. Nick had to work at HomeDepot at 6:00 and I was going to St. George for the weekend with my mom and sister. While I was gone in St. George, Nick did laundry and supposivley cleaned...the bathroom though I don't know if it got clean but that was very nice of him to do the laundry!! Anyways, St. George was great, it was 65 degrees and sunny the whole time!! We shopped, slept, and read, and did about 10 Thank You cards for the wedding. (My bad, trust me we are getting them done slowly but surely, but we are very thankfull for everyone that gave us something or was part of our wedding day!!) So while shopping at Tai Pan Trading I did get a few decorations for Christmas even thinking that I wasn't going to have a big tree and was going to make whatever I had work for this Christmas. My mom dropped me off at Nick's parent house on our way home from St. George and I did get a few more Christmas stuff from Jana, and on our way home Nick mentioned that he messed with the light switches and switched one of the light switches so that when you turn the light on one of the lamps comes on, so I was like oh cool!! We got home and I came down the stairs and flicked the switch and A BIG 7 1/2 FOOT PRE LITE CHRISTMAS TREE WAS UP!!!!!!!!

I was so suprised!!!! Nick is the best, he went to work a few minutes early and bought one of the door buster trees!!! He got it for $50 bucks instead of $200....
I was so excited, it looks great in our little basement and almost was in tears!! Nick is the best, he always has some little suprise for him and I love him so much I can't even describe what he does for me!! So Tuesday night we decorated the tree and did what we could with what we had. It looks great, so now we have to have a Christmas Party!!
